Wringing The Last Drop About Me

Author: User Imageadmin  |  Category: Background, tech toys, technology

After college I made my way in the world by holdng down many different jobs. I realy didn’t know what I wanted to do since the family business was sold because of the giants like Staples and Office Max took over the office supplies and equipment business and crushed the little guys.

So I tried my hand at different careers.

Eventually I stuck with metal refinishing for oil companies which took me all over to many different cities to refinish gas stations. It was while I was doing this that I met my future wife.

We had two boys and we moved to the Eastern Shore of Virginia and ventured into real estate investing. This is when I found that I had a passion for the internet.

I have also always been interested in Technology and when I found that I could research anything that basically existed in the world, I decided to see if I could find the end of the internet. I am talking about where it stops :)

Now of course I Knew that it never ended, but I was researching like there was end and I was going to discover it. I spent morning, noon and night searching until I became very ill and was forced to start getting some sleep (like my wife had been telling that I needed).

She ends up always being right!

Next up the tech “toys” I really enjoy!

Ah, yes, Tom, the “end of the internet” is almost like thinking about eternity. Bends the brain.

So are you now completely out of the refinishing career or is that still the bread and butter?

    Hey Brad,

I think you hit the nail on the head Brad. It is infinitely expanding with no boundaries as of yet.

I did get out of the refinishing biz and it is a good thing that I did because chemicals we were using have detrimental effects on the nervous system. Not to mention the paint chips that I was inhaling on a daily basis. I am sure it would have caught up to me.

    Take Care,
    Tom
